I’m a builder, product leader and dad who enjoys tinkering and making things that help people.I’ve spent over a 15 years in tech, leading product organizations and shipping at Google & Fitbit. I've worked across health, comms, productivity, ads and search -- from messy 0→1 launches to scaling mature products and building high performing orgs. I've also worked on things that didn’t launch. Currently, I work in Health, helping people build better habits through personalization and trust. Before this, I founded and scaled an enterprise telecom business . Earlier, I grew Google Docs and built workplace tools back when the web platform was just finding its legs. Even earlier, I published research on distributed systems.I value and build products that:

  • Solve real problems with obsessive focus

  • Respect people's time and attention

  • Have a little delight baked in

  • Are easy to explain

Stuff I build for fun

  • Co-founded a small angel fund with some of my favorite people to invest in and mentor early-stage startups.

  • Advise the product team at Code For America

  • Prototyping & building parenting tools (because the classic “go play” doesn’t always cut it!).

Stuff that builds me

  • I’ve run many races, including 14 marathons. I'm still not fast enough to truly brag, but I've learned that consistent training and smart pacing are key. I run to think, to explore, to compete (mostly with myself). I’m also an okay cyclist.

  • I’m obsessed with things that fly—RC planes, drones, real planes. I learned to fly while writing my thesis. That was… a lot.

  • I love cooking and messing around with recipes (and eating!)

  • I’m raising two small humans, which makes everything else feel like a walk in the park.
